A ton of friends came across the river to watch me race this year's New York City Triathlon.  There must have been 15 friends who came out early to watch me race.  It was awesome to run/bike past them and they gave me a ton of energy while I raced.  I don't get to perform close to where I grew up often so I definitely wanted to make the most of my race opportunity.  I had a strong race and was really pleased with my effort.  No silly penalties this year, just a honest hard race.
