June was a great month of racing for me.  I successfully defended my title at Escape from Alcatraz, making it three in a row!  I love that race and it has been very kind to me.  In the process of defending my title, I set the new bike course record on my Kuota Kredo.  It was the first time I have raced on it this year so I was very happy with my performance.  The swim was long, the bike was tough, and the run was unusually smooth.  All in all, a great day at the "office".

After Alcatraz, I raced my first draft legal race of the season at the Washington DC World Championship Series race.  In DC I was able to force the issue on the swim and bike and establish a breakaway.  It was a tough race and one I really enjoyed.  I finished 4th and earned the USA its highest finish in the World Championship Series in 2009.  It is always fun to represent the USA!

Enjoy the videos.
